Job Description

Associate Electrical Design Engineer – Fully Remote Working. Can visit office if required.\\n\\nThis role is to join a highly successful firm of consulting engineers, specialising in mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) engineering, you will be working on high-profile projects with leading architects, designers and contractors delivering quality services with minimum environmental impact.\\n\\nThis role has a strong team feel where you will be working alongside committed and enthusiastic engineers, and this is reflected in their working practices and supportive culture.\\n\\nYou will either be a principal electrical design engineer or an engineer already at associate level, within this role you will cover design and supervision of projects from inception to completion and be responsible for the supervision and organisation of other members of staff. You will also represent the company at meetings in connection with projects and liaise with clients and other professionals.\\n\\nResponsibilities include\\n\\n * Working as part of a design team delivering detailed design\\n\\n * Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams\\n\\n * Preparing technical specifications and schedules and design development reports.\\n\\n * Develop and produce reports, specifications, guidance notes and general correspondence ensuring quality and technical quality standards are met\\n\\n * Reviewing and commenting on information provided by the client, contractors and other members of the professional team.\\n\\n * Attending design team meetings, client meetings, pre-contract and post-contract meetings.\\n\\n * Carry out site surveys for projects, to obtain all relevant information required for carrying out scheme design.\\n\\n * Attend site progress meetings as and when required, together with monitoring Contractor’s\\n\\nAssociate / Senior Electrical Design Engineer Skills/ Experience Required\\n\\n * Ideally, but not essential, degree qualified, either building services or electrical.\\n\\n * Experience of managing or mentoring a team of electrical design engineers within a building services consultancy.\\n\\n * Completed a number of projects from inception to competition as a Principal or Associate electrical design engineer.\\n\\nBenefits\\n\\n * Fully remote working, but can work in the office when required\\n\\n * Annual bonus\\n\\n * Flexible working hours\\n\\n * Excellent benefits and competitive salary
