Main purpose of the job
As Business Development Manager you will support existing clients and develop new customers with the range of innovative, unique technologies. These include a continuous topical oxygen therapy for the management of chronic wounds and a biological matrix for surgical soft tissue reconstruction. Covering customers in both primary and secondary care, you will be required to sell across multiple specialities and in multiple settings. This is an autonomous role that will give you ownership for the business in your geographical area.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to position advanced wound care solutions within the treatment pathway and develop the business.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with customers by following up on trials requests and maximising sales opportunities.
- Generate and pursue leads to achieve department sales targets.
- Lead clinical evaluation at sites across the territories.
- Lead on data collection projects.
- Provide formal presentations for customers and potential customers.
- Support customers regarding clinical or usability questions related to the therapy.
- Monitor proper application and utilization of the therapy with treatments.
- Educate the health care team on product use, application, and documentation needs.
- Work closely with Clinical Specialist of the manufacturer.
- Identify and support the development of Key Opinion Leaders in the territory.
- Participate and represent at marketing and sales events such as trade shows, conferences and meetings; prepare associated reports and presentations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant work experience and track record of sales in the wound care space/theatre setting.
- Understanding of treatment pathways and reimbursement within the NHS or applicable health system.
- Excellent presentation skills; including the confidence to present to large groups in a face-to-face and virtual environment.
