The Role: NOC Engineer

Location: Remote (UK)

6 month fixed term contract (with possibility of going permanent)

Package: Salary up to £40,000 plus on call allowance. Benefits include private health, pension etc.

Working hours are 9-5:30 with opportunity for on call of an evening/weekend.

This role is a UK based position, entirely remote, but will be supporting the NOC for this UK based altnet. These are a well funded FTTP altnet that are looking to keep diversifying their markets, with both UK and International aspirations. Solid senior leadership team are in place with a mixed environment of in house technology alongside the use of external technology partners.

In a nutshell, you’ll be a 2nd/3rd line NOC engineer, resolving any escalations that come from the 1st line team. Due to role requirements, we need someone who’s had real world experience with the following technologies: DWDM, XGS-PON and either Nokia or Adtran kit.

This company is currently outsourcing their 1st line of their NOC, and due to workload, need another NOC engineer to come in and support their other points of escalation.
