What’s the Role All About?
This role is your chance to take the reins of food safety across the entire site. You’ll be the go-to authority on governance, compliance, audit orchestration, thermal processes, and standards implementation. From leading site-wide audits to being the anchor of food safety performance, you’ll have influence at every level, and mentor a small but mighty team of three.
Your Day-to-Day Will Include:
- Championing site food safety governance and compliance strategies
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across operations
- Leading, coaching, and developing your team
- Owning internal and external audits and regulatory standards
- Partnering closely with the Technical team, and wider Operations
- Embedding food safety deeply into the site's culture
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Proven leadership experience in food or beverage manufacturing (beverage preferred)
- Strong people management and team development skills
- Expertise in UK retailer codes of practice and customer technical standards
- A HACCP Level 4 qualification (Level 3 considered)
- Degree or equivalent in Food Science, Food Technology, or similar
- Lead Auditor qualification
- A hands-on, sleeves-up mindset with strategic vision and execution ability
- Strong understanding of compliance, policies, and governance

- Salary: £50,000–£60,000
