Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Make a Lasting Impact in Havering Are you an experienced HLTA ready to step into a role where you can lead, inspire and support children across both Key Stage 1 and 2? Teach Now is working with a vibrant, high-achieving primary school in Havering that is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver whole-class lessons in the absence of the teacher using provided planning. • Lead targeted intervention groups in literacy and numeracy. • Support teachers with planning, preparation, and assessment activities. • Provide one-to-one or small group support for children with additional needs. • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to record-keeping and reports. Requirements • HLTA qualification or equivalent, with strong experience in primary settings. • Ability to lead classes confidently across both KS1 and KS2. • Excellent communication, initiative, and classroom management skills. • A positive, can-do attitude and passion for supporting pupil development. • A current enhanced DBS check (on the Update Service) or willingness to obtain one.
