We are looking to add to our Install Engineer crews across South Wales and at the moment are looking for people to work specifcially in our West, patches; working to ensure the delivery of assigned fibre installations.
About you…
This is a full-time, permanent position, and we are looking for candidates with various skill levels, from junior to senior, who have experience in a position providing fibre installation services inside of customer premises (residential and business customers).
You should be Health & Safety conscious and have great attention to detail, as well as –
* Experience & knowledge of fibre including FTTP installation
* Excellent communication skills to deal effectively and professionally with customers
* Proactive attitude in the resolution of engineering obstacles, conferring with management & ensure compliance processes and procedures
* Flexibility to undertake works outside core working hours
* Any awareness & understanding of BT Open reach network and PIA
* Network build understanding – Ducts & poles, be able to read a plan drawing
* Awareness and understanding of COSHH
We’re also looking for certifications including –
* NRSWA – unit 2 signing, lighting & guarding
* N28
* SA001 safety overhead
* SA002 safety underground
* IPAF
* S7 PIA Sub Duct and Cable Installation Underground
* S8 PIA Cable Installation Overhead
(we provide full training and certifications so if you don’t have the above but do have experience please still get in touch)
These are key roles as they support our vision to provide a customer-focused experience by delivering a quality, professional, friendly and personable service.
What you’ll be doing…
This is a full-time field-based role where you’ll be responsible for all install activities; day to day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
* Installing fibre in customer business and residential premises
* Undertaking daily checks of vehicles, tools, equipment and PPE prior to leaving the depot.
* Ensuring the customer understands the use of the WIFI and various broadband devises installed within their premises
* Undertaking all job-specific risk assessments and method statements. Report and health & Safety incidents and ‘Near Misses.’
* Carrying out underground & overhead installations
* Undertake small civils works
* Ensure the customer connection is made first time, every time and that the customer has service at the time of leaving their premises
