Are you an experienced risk professional ready to shape and lead the development of an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework at a strategic level? Our client is seeking a skilled ERM Lead – Framework and Resilience to drive our risk oversight, resilience planning, and regulatory alignment.

About the Role

As the Enterprise Risk Management Lead, you will provide leadership and insight into the treatment of current and emerging risks, ensuring they align with our strategic objectives and regulatory obligations. This is a highly visible role requiring collaboration across first and second line teams to ensure our risk frameworks, resilience plans, and governance processes are robust, up-to-date, and embedded into day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, enhancement and operation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, including risk policies, risk appetite and risk strategy.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to ensure the framework is understood, adopted and adds real value to business decision-making.
  • Coordinate and embed Stress and Scenario Testing (SST) processes, ensuring meaningful insights are captured and acted upon.
  • Lead the development and refresh of the Recovery and Resolution Plan, covering governance, monitoring, management actions and scenario planning.
  • Oversee and deliver the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process and reporting.
  • Provide second line assurance and advice to first line risk owners, and support on wider initiatives including regulatory reviews and risk taxonomy projects.
  • Champion a proactive approach to emerging risk identification and resilience building.
  • Collaborate with peers and senior leadership to ensure continuous improvement across the broader risk function.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and embedding enterprise risk frameworks, including ORSA, SST, and recovery planning.

Experience

  • Proven track record in a senior ERM or second-line risk function role, ideally within insurance or financial services.
  • Experience influencing and presenting to senior executives and risk committees.
  • Prior exposure to independent risk oversight or advisory (e.g., consultancy or internal audit) highly desirable.
