We are seeking a Composite Design Engineer (Contractor) to join a leading Motorsport and Formula 1 Manufacturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing composite structures and components for various applications. This role demands a strong understanding of composite materials, excellent CAD skills (Catia V5 or NX), and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic engineering environment.

Key Duties:

  • Lead the creation of both conceptual and detailed designs for composite components and systems.
  • Deliver lightweight, cost-effective, and structurally sound solutions by balancing mass, stiffness, and budgetary constraints.
  • Contribute to structural and functional assessments by supporting analysis and validation efforts.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams such as aerodynamics, vehicle dynamics, electronics, structural engineering, powertrain, stress analysis, R&D, and production.
  • Ensure clear, concise communication across departments and throughout the design process.
  • Take ownership of design issues, performing in-depth investigations and driving timely resolutions.

  • A proactive and creative engineer with the ability to work independently and meet tight project deadlines.
  • A solid understanding of technical drawings and engineering standards, with experience producing and reviewing assemblies and component documentation.
