Your new role: This specific role is for a Year 5 teacher at a small village school in Somerset, located just off the M5 in Sanford. The school is easily accessible with ample parking available. It is a great community school with a dedicated staff committed to the wellbeing of the children. The classroom has 28 students, and you will have a Teaching Assistant (TA) to support you. There are no Special Educational Needs (SEN) within the class and minimal behaviour issues.
Some of your duties will include
Delivering Lessons: Teach pre-prepared lessons and ensure continuity of learning in the absence of the regular teacher.
Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment, managing student behaviour effectively.
Adapting to Different Classes: Quickly adapt to different classroom settings and student needs, often with little prior notice.
Following School Policies: Adhere to the school’s policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety guidelines.
Marking and Feedback: Mark students’ work and provide detailed feedback to the class teacher.
