As a Technical Sales Advisor based in Slough you will be responsible for:
- Contributing to the team by communicating effectively and by working to achieve shared objectives.
- Aware of branch targets and objectives.
- Helping to improve processes.
- Providing sales and expert advice from a technical view.
- Dealing with complex requests that require problem solving and extensive knowledge of products.
- Providing best in class service to customers at all times.
- Checking customers’ expectations and explaining clearly when these cannot be met.
- Being the first point of contact for customer disputes.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Quoting accurate prices to customers within an agreed time.
- General administration.
- Gathering information for statistical analysis.
- Raising purchase orders for approval.
- Processing sales orders and following an audit trail.
- Following health, safety and environment rules and regulations.
- Providing prompt and accurate reports of any incidents.
- Maintaining a tidy and hazard free working environment.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00am - 17:00pm. No weekend work required.
And here’s what we’d like you to have:
- Previous experience within a coordination, administrative or customer support role - not essential as full training provided
- Highly organised, proactive, good communication and Microsoft office skills
- Willingness to learn and collaborate within a team environment, and support other departments when required
- Ability to build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and various stakeholders
- Industry knowledge - advantageous
