About the Company
The Shore group has been appointed on behalf of a highly respected £80M+ Traditional Fit-Out Main Contractor that is expanding its Estimating team to support sustained and ambitious growth. Our client is a recognised leader in the Commercial Office Fit-Out sector, specialising in the delivery of both CAT A and CAT B projects, with a particular focus on complex cut and carve schemes across London.
Candidate Profile
- Experience working for a Commercial Fit-Out Main Contractor, specifically estimating cut and carve commercial office projects valued between £5M and £30M.
- Proven expertise in cut and carve projects, with a solid understanding of cladding, structural alterations, and M&E packages.
- Demonstrable experience preparing and leading detailed cost estimates across all construction packages.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and assess multiple packages simultaneously.
- Sound knowledge and experience of value engineering to optimise project costs without compromising on quality.
- Experience in managing sub-contractor and supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing and reliable delivery.
- Strong client-facing abilities and direct experience working with the professional consultancy community (e.g., structural engineers, project managers, quantity surveyors, and external consultants).
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for commercial fit-out projects, covering all architectural, structural, and M&E elements.
- Collate, analyse, and level supplier and subcontractor returns.
- Develop detailed scopes of work and ensure all bid documentation is complete and accurate.
- Manage subcontractor and supplier negotiations, maintaining strong working relationships.
- Collaborate closely with internal project managers, design teams, and external consultants throughout the pre-construction phase.
- Lead project kick-off meetings to ensure seamless project mobilisation.
- Produce and manage project workbooks with detailed cost breakdowns.
- Provide value engineering solutions to support cost-effective project delivery.
