We’re recruiting a Planning Manager for a growing regional developer delivering high-quality residential schemes across the South West, based out of their office in Cornwall.

In this role, you’ll lead the planning process from site acquisition to consent, working closely with internal teams and external consultants to secure commercially viable permissions. You’ll liaise with local authorities, manage planning strategies, and oversee submissions, appeals, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement planning strategies for new sites
  • Lead planning applications, S106 and condition negotiations
  • Manage pre-apps, appeals, and community/stakeholder engagement
  • Oversee consultant teams and monitor planning policy updates
  • Represent the business at planning committees and consultations
What We’re Looking For
  • Degree-qualified and MRTPI (or working towards)
  • Proven experience in residential/mixed-use planning
  • Strong stakeholder and negotiation skills
  • Commercially astute with excellent project management skills
  • Full UK driving licence
Desirable
  • Knowledge of land acquisition process
  • Regional market awareness (Devon & Cornwall)
  • SME or regional developer experience
