How you’ll power our business as an ER Manager:

  • Take ownership of all ER and absence cases, ensuring high standards of case management via our internal tracker.
  • Provide expert guidance and coaching to managers, supporting them in handling investigations, conflict resolution, grievances, and disciplinary matters effectively and confidently.
  • Drive best practice in our processes, forms, and templates while also supporting the development and delivery of key People initiatives.
  • Provide commercially focused advice to the business, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
  • Manage occupational health referrals and long-term absence cases, supporting both employees and managers throughout.
  • Oversee the accurate tracking of case data, analysing trends to inform proactive people strategies and policy improvements.
  • Contribute to the wider People Plan, support project delivery, and maintain strong relationships across the organisation to ensure a consistent and high-quality employee experience.

What we’ll need from you:

  • CIPD qualification or equivalent (desirable).
  • Proven experience in an HR advisory or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
