About You
Our growing UK Publicity team are looking for a passionate, driven Account Director to join DDA. You must be fully immersed in the world of press and publicity but also experienced in working in the film, television and entertainment industry.
As Account Director, you are an ambitious and proactive member of the UK Publicity team and are a senior publicist that plays an integral role in the agency. You’ll be a strong leader of a team of executives, leading campaigns from the ground up. You’ll run PR campaigns in the UK, maintaining exceptional relationships with the press and clients.
Your Key Responsibilities Include:
- Client Relationships
- Develop a close working relationship with our clients in the Film and/or TV space and add value with expert knowledge.
- Work with the Director of Television and senior partners to trouble-shoot any issues relating to this ongoing work.
- Oversight of the day-to-day client management, rectifying issues as they arise.
- Ensure the team keep in contact with the client at all stages of the campaign.
- Delivery
- Run/direct campaigns in the UK and provide the client with regular updates.
- Oversee timely coverage reporting for our clients with the support of the wider team.
- Maintain standards for reporting, interview requests, asset timelines etc.
- Oversee the dissemination of new assets to media, utilising the depth of the team.
- Working with the strengths of the team to find the best solution for any given project.
- Attend and coordinate major red-carpet events, festivals and other press launches.
- Strategy and Commercial Awareness
- Devise and execute strategy for UK Publicity campaigns with an awareness of client objectives and competitive landscape.
- Be mindful of other aspects of our business and proactively share information where suitable.
- Invest time and creativity in new business pushes, driven by yourself directly or other team members.
- Develop and maintain exceptional relationships with press whilst ensuring maximum visibility for our projects.
- Build on existing relationships with producing, writing and directing talent, and identify opportunities to pursue new business.

- Responsible for managing a team of Account Executives within your accounts to assist with their progression and output.

Skills & Experience
- Experience with on-set unit publicity capture, press access, photography and EPK.
- Understanding of picture publicity and the ability to come up with creative ideas and be able to work with photographers and designers.
- Demonstrable experience in working in PR at mid/senior level, within the Film, TV and Entertainment sector.
- Ability to manage the budget on unit and launch campaigns.
- Excellent communication experience between producers, cast, crew, talent representatives and the media during film shoots.
- Knowledge of the TV landscape: identify the core audience for a TV series, know how to reach them and excite them, be aware of competitive campaigns and TV trends.
- Extensive experience working on campaigns, with strong experience of client management.
- Exceptional relationship building skills, with a focus on relationships with clients, senior management and significant stakeholders.
- Known to a high level of press and industry figures.
- Experience of major TV and/or film junkets.
- A passion for learning, and getting under the skin of, client businesses to give them the best possible outcomes.
- Highly motivated, positive and passionate people leader, with confidence speaking to Senior Executives.
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized to meet multiple deadlines across a variety of projects.
- A team player, willing to share knowledge and discuss approaches and tactics but also able to work independently.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Pro-active & intuitive.
- Highly organised, and a clear, confident delegator.
- Proficient in presentation software and other Apple / Microsoft packages.
- Media Management experience is desired, but not essential.
