We are seeking a Server Administrator with strong VMware and automation experience to join the Enterprise Infrastructure team under the Chief Technology Office. This role will support a VMware migration Proof of Concept (POC) and help identify server update requirements. The successful candidate will also contribute to infrastructure automation efforts and support lab environment improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in VMware migration POC, performing migration tasks and documenting results.
- Identify and manage server update/patching requirements across the infrastructure.
- Develop and implement automation scripts or tools to streamline server and infrastructure operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., infrastructure, security, DevOps) on shared initiatives.
- Support lab improvement projects, including environment setup, testing, and automation.
- Maintain documentation for system processes, automation workflows, and configurations.
- Troubleshoot issues in VMware environments and server infrastructure and implement solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience in VMware administration and server infrastructure management.
- Proven experience in automation scripting using tools like PowerShell, Ansible, Python, or Bash.
- Experience in server lifecycle management including patching, updates, and monitoring.
- Familiarity with lab environments and infrastructure upgrade projects.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
