Business Analyst (Product Manager), Underwriting Business Analyst / Product Manager London Insurance/Markets. Circa ÂŁ90k neg. Very exciting role. MUST have London Insurance/Markets knowledge/background in order to have credibility when talking to Underwriters about their projects, issues, deliverables.
You will have a background in Business analysis and ideally product management where you will be able to discuss SLIP’s, MGA’s and Binder as your day to day job. We are after curious candidates who can challenge the underwriters and not be a “yes” person. You have credibility and as a BA / PO you want to make sure you deliver products that make commercial and business sense - not just execute/do. MUST have strong Business process background. (And some IT systems but more Business process, the underwriters, why they need X, challenge, question, spar with them and deliver to them BUT deliver outcomes and not just a project/solution. MUST see what outcome we deliver and why this makes sense to the business.
You will be encouraged to sit with the business and question the status quo and add ideas, be vocal. You will work on Swim lanes; Process mapping. Data Flows. You will want to know intimately each business process in order for the project to be successful. Understanding what the underwriter wants and needs, the better you can translate this to the IT team, coordinate, steer, lead and deliver.
