Our client is a leading financial institution seeking an IT Support & Applications Developer professional to join their IT team. This dual-role opportunity combines hands-on software development with critical IT support, playing a central part in maintaining system stability and advancing internal tech capabilities. This is a technically diverse role, offering exposure across software development, infrastructure support, and IT service continuity. The successful candidate will design and maintain robust in-house applications, support day-to-day system operations, and act as a key contact for users and third-party vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation tools and reporting systems using SQL, VB.NET, and PowerBuilder
- Administer core banking systems (iMAL) including Islamic Finance and Mobile Banking modules
- Deliver effective user support and IT troubleshooting
- Perform daily infrastructure health checks, backups, and system reviews
- Maintain high availability across platforms including Active Directory, Azure Exchange, and Hyper-V
- Oversee Disaster Recovery readiness and contribute to regular testing
- Support patch management, system upgrades, and audit compliance
- Collaborate with business teams to configure and support applications like Salesforce, Diligent, and DocuSign
- Act as backup to senior IT staff during periods of absence
