Must have substantial management-level professional relevant technical and production management experience within the arts sector, working across different artforms and performance contexts.
Proven background in technical aspects of theatre, with extensive up to date knowledge of technical procedures, stagecraft and the use of technology.
Skills and Experience Required
- A good level of understanding of ETC and Yamaha desks (particularly ETC Ion and Yamaha QL1).
- A good working knowledge of the Dante AV systems and network.
- A strong level of understanding of how to use QLab.
- Ability to create CAD plans (the Town Hall uses the Vectorworks software).
- Proven leadership ability with excellent people management skills and experience in building and leading teams.
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised, using own initiative.
- An active team player with the ability to work collaboratively to achieve short and long-term organisational requirements and ambitions.
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
- Open, positive and hands-on approach to all tasks as well as being an efficient and effective problem solver.
- Ability to remain adaptable and flexible at all times.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise a complex workload by utilising excellent organisational skills.
- Extensive health and safety knowledge, especially of its practical application within a venue, particularly in regards to current rigging and working at height practices, and temporary staging and seating systems.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly in Outlook, Word and Excel).
- Experience of managing production budgets and finances.
- A passion and interest in contemporary culture, particularly in theatre, dance, music and/or comedy.
