Based in Bristol, our superb chip design client is hiring for a Principal Analog IC Design Engineer to join their team. With an office fairly central to the city centre, our client offers hybrid working, 2-3 days a week from home.
Here the Principal Analog IC Design Engineer will have the chance to work on a diverse range of interesting and challenging design projects. Responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with the marketing team and customers to correctly determine project requirements and see the entire IC design flow process through to successful completion - from definition, specification through to silicon evaluation and test.
- Owning the design and simulation of Analog/Mixed Signal IC blocks – for instance, charge pumps, DC-DC, power management, filters, amplifiers.
- Supervising physical implementation - EMI, EMC and signal integrity analysis.
The successful candidate will have:
- A good academic record, with a BSc (minimum) in Electronic Engineering or related field.
- A number of years of experience within Analog / Mixed Signal IC Design, in one or more of the following areas:
- Power management blocks
- Charge pumps, references, oscillators
- High side/low side drivers for high voltage or high power applications
- Custom high voltage ESD, IO design
Technical experience aside, our client is looking for someone with the ability and nous to take ownership of problems and provide suitable solutions, with the ability to operate at multiple levels up to senior management. You will be able to turn your hand to a dynamic array of challenges and projects and strive for the satisfaction of providing excellent customer service.
