Alexanders Timber Design is a leading Timber Frame and Roof Truss manufacturer for the house building sector and one of the key business units of Glennon Brothers, a leading timber processor in the UK & Ireland with a strong growth story. We are a growing and expanding business with further ambitious growth ahead of us. As a leader in the Green Tech industry, our bespoke facility in Irvine is equipped with a manufacturing line that has state-of-the-art technology.
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the Timber Frame Fabricator will play a key part within the production process of the Timber Frame and Roof Trusses. Fabricators are required to build pre-cut timber into various panels, gables, and trusses and liaise with maintenance to ensure tasks are completed. Full training will be provided for this role. Candidates must be willing to work on a 3 shift pattern (DS 7am-3:15pm, BS 3pm-11:15pm and NS 11pm-7:15am).
Skills Profile
- Experience of woodworking is advantageous but not essential
- Experience with nail guns and various other woodworking equipment would be desirable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Good health and safety knowledge would be advantageous
