Scope:
The Care Assistant works as part of the Care Team and will be primarily responsible for promoting and delivering person-centred care. They work with direction from the Registered Nurse and/or Care Coordinator. They are always mindful of each member's age, gender, sexuality, ethnicity and spiritual needs. The Care Assistant will work within a team ethos with the member's choice, dignity, independence and personal safety being at the core of all care and support activity. Cheerful, caring and compassionate, you will be capable of making responsible decisions and acting in our members' best interests.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide direct care to members supporting and promoting their independence, choice, dignity and overall wellbeing.
- Care activities will include but not be restricted to the following:
- Washing, showering, bathing
- Promoting continence and assisting with toileting
- Assisting with dressing
- Assisting with food and fluid intake
- Mobility
- Use of moving and handling equipment, wheelchairs and any specific mobility aid required by a member
- Dietary needs, specialist aids for eating or drinking, and choke risk.
- Any medical issues for example diabetes
- Communication needs used
- Cultural needs
- Chosen daily routine
