The purpose of Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) is to enable the people of Scotland to experience the best quality of health and social care. We have set out an ambitious and exciting Digital work programme for 2025/26 focused on our Information and Communication Technology (ICT) architecture, digital transformation and our staff capacity and capability. This is an exciting time to join the Digital Services Group (DSG) and support us in achieving our future vision.

We are looking for an ICT Support Analyst to join our small, but highly talented and growing team to provide first and second line ICT support. Do you thrive solving technical problems with laptops, mobile phones, tablets, the evergreen M365/Office365 environment and bespoke software? Would you enjoy working in a small, multi-disciplinary team providing all the ICT support across a diverse organisation? Do you want to play a key role in the development, installation, testing and maintenance of all software information systems, desktop PCs, laptops, mobile phones, tablets and other IT solutions in use? Do you enjoy working at pace and being adaptive to an ever-changing environment? Working in the ICT Team in DSG, you will have the opportunity to provide expert ICT support to a diverse, multi-disciplinary healthcare organisation located across Scotland.

What We Like To See

  • Proven experience in the support of ICT hardware and software
  • Knowledge of current Windows operating systems and the M365/Office365 environment
  • Up-to-date and relevant knowledge of developments in both hardware and software
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team
  • An effective communicator knowing how to make complex technical information and language simple for a diverse, multidisciplinary workforce (both verbally and in writing)
  • Good organisational skills, the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative, to organise and prioritise your workload and to meet strict deadlines

Location

Although our staff currently work in a hybrid manner between home and office, as this is an ICT support role, there is a requirement to attend our Edinburgh office on a weekly basis and occasionally travel to Glasgow and our data centre in Livingston.
