Position Summary: As the Chief Financial Officer at AstroPay, you will strategically oversee and manage all financial aspects of our global operations. Your role will be critical in driving AstroPay's financial performance, ensuring compliance with international financial regulations, managing financial risks, and supporting global expansion strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Drive financial strategy formulation, aligning financial goals with AstroPay's growth objectives. Provide strategic advice to the CEO and senior management team on financial implications of business decisions, market trends, and investment opportunities.
- Financial Operations Management: Oversee global financial operations, including treasury management, cash flow optimization, and liquidity management. Lead the accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and analysis functions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and transparency.
- Risk Management and Compliance: Develop and implement comprehensive financial risk management strategies, identifying risks associated with global digital payment processing, foreign exchange, and compliance. Ensure strict adherence to financial regulatory requirements, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and international payment industry standards.
- Investment and Funding Management: Manage capital structure, funding strategies, and investor relations. Lead fundraising initiatives, including debt and equity financing, to support business growth and innovation.
- Global Expansion and Strategic Partnerships: Evaluate financial viability and ROI for expansion into new markets and strategic partnerships. Work closely with regional finance teams to ensure alignment, efficient resource allocation, and operational effectiveness globally.
- Financial Reporting and Stakeholder Communication: Ensure timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting to internal stakeholders, investors, regulatory bodies, and the Board of Directors. Lead communication and presentations related to financial performance, forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
- CPA, CFA, ACA, or equivalent certification highly desirable.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in financial leadership, with at least 7 years in senior finance roles within fintech, digital payments, or financial services companies.
- Deep understanding of global payment ecosystems, digital wallets, foreign exchange dynamics, and international regulatory compliance.
- Proven track record managing fundraising initiatives, strategic financial planning, and global risk management.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
