Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking applications for the position of Deputy Head of Wigs to work on the upcoming West End musical "PADDINGTON" at the Savoy Theatre. We are seeking applications from individuals of all backgrounds for the position.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Head of Wigs in overseeing the department
- Working as part of the team in the maintenance, repair and dressing of wigs and hair on the production
- Meeting make-up requirements to maintain the look of the production as designed
- Dressing performers prior to and during rehearsals and performances
- Working as part of an efficient and successful department
- Liaison with all other departments on the production and associated personnel
Candidates will require hands-on professional experience with an emphasis on wigs and hairdressing, make-up and other related disciplines, the ability to work under pressure and within a team, and good interpersonal and communication skills, as well as strong organizational and time management qualities. Desirable skills include experience in wig-knotting and/or barbering skills.
