About us

The MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences (LMS) is a biomedical research institute where scientists and clinicians collaborate to advance the understanding of biology and its application to medicine. LMS is one of three directly funded MRC research institutes and enjoys close links with our partners at Imperial College London and the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Chromatin and Development group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for their own project, investigating transposable element regulation and/or chromatin regulation in early mammalian development. They will also be expected to integrate themselves within the team and contribute to collaborative research with the team.

About you

The ideal candidate will have a PhD (or equivalent experience) in gene regulation, chromatin biology, development or a related biological field. Prior experience of mouse or human iPSC/ESC culture is highly desirable, as is experience with techniques to probe chromatin status such as C&T, C&R, ATAC-seq etc and/or experience in setting up new techniques. The position is available to be filled summer 2025, but the start date can be flexible.
