The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Dental Practice Receptionist / Treatment Coordinator to join our team in Newry.

As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a key role in ensuring a positive and efficient experience for everyone who visits the practice. Your responsibilities will include:

• Front Desk Management: Greet patients, manage check-ins and maintain an organised reception area.
• Appointment Scheduling: Book, reschedule, and manage appointments to optimise efficiency.
• Patient Communication: Answer phone calls and handle enquiries with professionalism and care.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and continuity of care.
• Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate patient records, process payments, and support insurance and billing procedures.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and organised individual who brings:

• Essential Experience: Previous experience working in a dental practice or similar healthcare setting.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Clear and confident verbal and written abilities.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills with a high standard of accuracy.
• Professionalism: Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a calm, friendly manner.
• Team Spirit: A positive, collaborative approach and a commitment to patient care.

This role would also be ideal for a GDC-registered dental nurse looking to transition into a receptionist or treatment coordinator position.
