Lookers is seeking a talented Multimedia Designer to join our marketing team. As a leading UK automotive retailer, you will work with over 30 top vehicle manufacturers, gaining valuable industry experience and reporting to the Digital Team Leader.

The Multimedia Designer is responsible for creating dynamic, engaging content across various digital formats, including motion graphics, video, static graphics, and interactive media. Reporting to the Senior Graphic Designer, the role involves designing assets for marketing campaigns and internal communications across multiple automotive brands. The Multimedia Designer will work with the digital, content, and marketing teams to bring creative concepts to life and ensure consistency across all visual materials. This role requires creativity, technical proficiency, and a broad skill set to design for multiple platforms, including social media, websites, emails, and video content.

Responsibilities

  • Multimedia Content Creation: Design and produce motion graphics, animations, video content, static graphics, and interactive media for various digital platforms (websites, social media, email, ads). Develop dynamic visuals to support marketing campaigns and enhance user engagement.
  • Video Production & Editing: Edit and optimise video content, including promotional videos, social media clips, and internal communications. Integrate sound, visuals, and effects to create high-quality, engaging content.
  • Interactive & Web Design: Design interactive web elements for landing pages, ads, and campaigns. Collaborate with the digital team to create interactive media such as forms, buttons, and animations on websites.
  • Brand Consistency & Collaboration: Ensure all multimedia content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains visual consistency across multiple brands. Work closely with the marketing and digital content teams to align creative efforts with campaign objectives.
  • Internal Design Support: Support the creation of internal communications, including presentations, corporate videos, and event materials. Assist in developing visual content for internal marketing initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest design trends, tools, and multimedia technology. Propose and implement creative new ideas to enhance campaigns and improve user experience.

The ideal candidate will have a full clean driving licence, be highly organised, ambitious, and have a proactive, positive attitude. Strong analytical skills, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail are essential for this role, as is the ability to collaborate with team members across multiple projects and meet deadlines. Full training will be provided as part of your induction and ongoing learning, allowing you to expand your knowledge of the automotive sector.
