Coast and Country Cottages, part of Sykes Holiday Cottages, have the exciting opportunity for a Local Supplier Lead to join our bustling Salcombe team.

Salary: Up to £23,810 per annum

Work Days & Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Saturday, 9am-5.30pm (with a day off in the week).

Working Location: Office based at our office in Salcombe.

Reporting to: Property Services Manager

Coast & Country Cottages is a holiday letting agency, marketing and managing over 450 holiday homes across the stunning South Devon coast and countryside.

About the Role

As the new Local Supplier Lead, you’ll work closely with housekeepers, cleaners, and maintenance teams to support property upkeep and owner satisfaction. You will build and manage relationships with third-party suppliers while sourcing new contractors to support our growing property portfolio. You’ll collaborate with the Property Services HUB in Chester to ensure local completion of work orders, negotiate competitive rates, and onboard suppliers. Additionally, you’ll support the Business Development Team in expanding our Property Services and increasing market share.

Your Responsibilities

  • Build and manage commercially viable relationships with third-party suppliers
  • Continuously source and recruit new housekeepers, cleaners, and maintenance contractors
  • Maintain strong working relationships with local contractors for reliable support
  • Ensure all property cleans are covered and completed to standard
  • Oversee relationship management, recruitment, and performance of self-employed suppliers
  • Resolve housekeeping, maintenance, and quality issues within service level agreements
  • Onboard new suppliers, ensuring proper setup and training on the KEA system
  • Keep the Property Services HUB in Chester informed and updated on supplier activity
  • Maintain and monitor the preferred supplier network to meet service standards
  • Support the Chester HUB team and provide emergency out-of-hours cover on a rota
  • Conduct property visits to ensure quality and address NPS feedback effectively
  • Troubleshoot supplier-related issues and resolve property owner queries
  • Guide and support new suppliers and, when needed, assist with cleaning or minor maintenance.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Full UK Driving License
  • Excellent customer services experience
  • Proven negotiation skills and ability to influence
  • Outstanding verbal communication skills
  • IT literate – MS office and databases
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work collaboratively at all levels
  • Excellent commercial awareness
