ABOUT THE ROLE
I am looking for someone who is either already a Construction Director / Operations Director with a strong background working for rival RC frame and groundwork subcontractors in the UK, or someone who has hit a glass ceiling in their current role and is seeking the next step up to Construction Director level. The ideal candidate will have experience in this sector at a senior management level, such as Senior Contracts Manager or similar. The role involves overseeing operations across multiple live sites with concrete frames, groundwork, and basements, with project values ranging from £5m to £50m, and a portfolio worth £100m-£150m.
Responsibilities include developing site management teams, liaising with clients, ensuring project deadlines, budgets, and safety standards are met, and fostering client relationships. You will work alongside a talented team and report to senior leadership.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates should have experience in this role or be ready for it, with a background in concrete frame, groundwork, and basement subcontracting in the UK. Stability with previous employers is important, indicating a long-term commitment. A degree in civil engineering or construction management is preferred.
