Job description I have been asked by a very well known and successful steel company to find Skilled platers This is an exciting time to join a bright bridge building company. Most of the work is heavy steel bridge fabrications so experience working on this type of work is desirable but not essential as long as you have heavy plate experience. The plater- You must have mig welding experience for tacking up. Be able to produce heavy fabrications from engineers drawings Be able to work using your own initiative Good working on your own or part of a team Be good at producing good accurate fabrications with minimal distortion Use burning equipment for cutting steel and preparing joints etc. The plater will be proactive and a good problem solver Good with all hand tools. Basic week is 40 hours Overtime is paid at time and a half and double time Sundays. Plenty of overtime available
