At Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT) and Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT), we are embarking on a bold digital transformation—aligning strategies, uniting teams, and harnessing the power of technology to reimagine care for our populations. We are looking for a Joint Deputy Digital Director to help shape the future of healthcare in our region.

You will drive technology, optimise our existing systems, digital infrastructure, and identify opportunities to enhance our cyber security to support the delivery of safe care. You will oversee multiple teams within our Digital Group leading Assistant Directors and Heads of Service and working closely with the Group Chief Digital Information Officer (GCDIO). You’ll serve as a key deputy, providing strategic oversight and continuity across services.

We are seeking a high-calibre IT leader with extensive experience in managing multidisciplinary service portfolios—spanning Service Delivery, Cyber Security, Infrastructure, CRM and end user support, supporting NHFT, LPT and playing a significant role in Leicestershire Health Informatics Service.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with senior leaders across the Group and the wider ICS to ensure our digital directorate continues to deliver safe, effective and high-quality services ensuring that the voices and needs of NHFT, LPT and the communities we serve are represented.

The Joint Deputy Digital Director Digital Technology and Operations is a senior manager role based within the digital directorate providing strategic oversight and direction to a number of specialist digital services. It is also part of a wider group level senior management team for digital under the Group Chief Digital & Information Officer (GCDIO).

As lead officer for NHFT, LPT and LHIS (NHS Shared Service) for digital infrastructure and cyber security, the post holder will be expected to attend all relevant committees representing the interests of NHFT and LPT. This will include internal meetings as well as ICS and regional meetings as directed by the GCDIO.

The post holder will lead on the management, maintenance and enhancement of the Trusts’ digital infrastructure, driving delivery of national expectations and targets related to infrastructure and cyber ensuring that NHFT, LPT and LHIS remains compliant with contractual obligations relating to digital, whilst constantly seeking to identify emerging technologies that will improve the security and resilience of digital infrastructure and in turn the business tools which are reliant on it.
