Responsibilities include:
- Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and priming.
- Mixing paints accurately according to specifications.
- Applying paint, topcoats, varnishes, and finishes using rollers, brushes, and spray techniques.
- Repairing and spraying components in the spray booth.
- Conducting inspections to ensure quality standards.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Carrying out routine maintenance of spray booths and L.E.V systems.
- Following safety procedures at all times.
- Updating maintenance records.
- Performing non-maintenance activities as directed and where competent.
Candidate requirements:
- Minimum of ASE2 painter competency.
- At least two and a half years of relevant painter experience.
- Ability to meet medical requirements for the role.
- Competency in safety and task-specific training.
- Familiarity with rolling stock maintenance or willing to learn.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Proficiency in surface preparation and mixing paints.
- Positive attitude and good working relationships.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
