As an Adult Skills Manager, you will play a key role in managing various adult skills funding contracts at Get Set UK. You will support our Learning Development Mentors (LDMs) and trainers by providing them with the leadership, tools and guidance to ensure successful course outcomes. This role entails the 360 management of the learner journey from recruitment to completion with a good job/career outcome. The key objective of the role is to ensure that adult skills contracts, including ASF, FCFJ and Skills Bootcamps are delivered efficiently, effectively and meeting a minimum of 'good' quality standard as measured by the EIF.
Your impact: As an Adult Skills Manager, you will lead the design, coordination, and delivery of adult learning programmes that support learners into further education, training, or sustainable employment. You'll be instrumental in driving quality across provision, managing delivery teams, and ensuring funding compliance, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learner success.
Leadership & Programme Oversight- Provide strategic and day-to-day management of Learning Development Mentors (LDMs), trainers, and support staff.
- Set clear team objectives, deliver coaching, and manage performance to drive excellence.
- Lead programme planning and delivery in line with Ofsted EIF standards and learner needs.
- Ensure the right learners are enrolled on the right programmes through effective IAG and initial assessment.
- Oversee learner enrolment processes in partnership with stakeholders, including DWP, employers, and third-sector organisations.
- Work closely with the Head of Quality & Compliance to meet all funding body and delivery expectations, especially for ASF and Skills Bootcamps.
- Coordinate and prepare for EQA visits, ensuring readiness across staff and documentation.
- Embed compliance practices into daily delivery, including safeguarding, data protection, and quality assurance protocols.
- Support creation of reports for Self-Assessment and internal quality reviews.
- Lead on adult curriculum design, creating resources, assessment plans, and delivery models tailored to learner and labour market needs.
- Champion digital-first, remote, and hybrid learning models across delivery teams.
- Identify and resolve barriers to learner progression with flexible, innovative solutions.
- Drive learner engagement by facilitating feedback loops and tracking learner destinations.
- Collaborate with marketing, outreach, and sales to support the promotion and growth of adult programmes.
- Engage with local employers and partners to develop meaningful progression routes for learners.
Who we seek: We're looking for a detail-driven compliance professional with deep knowledge of apprenticeship funding, a passion for quality assurance, and a commitment to maintaining excellence in the education and skills sector.
Qualifications:- Teaching Qualification: e.g. Level 3 Award in Education & Training or Assessor Award
- IQA Qualification: plus hands-on experience in internal quality assurance
- Stakeholder Engagement: experience working with employers, DWP, and funding bodies
- Leadership Experience: with or without a formal leadership qualification
- Curriculum Development: course planning, resource creation, and scheduling
- Ofsted EIF Knowledge: understanding of the framework and experience of inspections
- Workshop Facilitation: ability to deliver engaging group sessions
- Compliance Knowledge: safeguarding, data protection, ASF, and Skills Bootcamps
- Tech Proficiency: CRM systems, e-portfolios, digital tools, and MS Office
- Excellent Communication: clear, confident, and inspiring both in writing and in person
