French-to-English TRANSLATOR in OXFORDSHIRE. This is a wonderful opportunity for a bilingual TRANSLATOR ( French to Eng) to join a heritage company founded in France in the 1800’s with a reputation for manufacturing outstanding quality products and a pedigree that has stood the test of time! . The UK business is based close to Oxford and has a stunning, huge, showroom ( and training centre) in which corporate customers can view its range of high quality bathroom furnishings that are most often located in swimming pools, and even in operating theatres . TITLE: Translator ( French to English )
Location: Oxfordshire
Team: Translation services in the Marketing Team
Salary : £38,000-£44,000 + excellent benefits (5 weeks holiday + 8 UK bank holidays)
Work style: Hybrid 3-4 days in office. 1-2 days are wfh
Languages: Fluent French, English (Spanish is useful)
Essential requirement: Translation background , and ideally your own transport as connections to the office are not straight forward

Duties
Translation duties represent approximately 70%-80% of this role
Translating , proofreading and creating high quality marketing collateral
Updating the website and liaising constantly with PR and Comms , designers, journalist and photographers
Proofreading catalogue and all magazine entries
Proofreading existing sales support tools and creating/translating email campaigns
Writing innovative promotional campaigns in English and French
Translating email and newsletters and localising all marketing collateral to the UK market
Supervising, coaching and mentoring a junior Marketing Assistant who will support your creative writing and translation efforts
Occasional travel to France to attend events
Requirements
English to native standard. Fluent French
Professional translation background
Ideally some marketing experience, although full training will be provided
Own transport as the office is not close to transport links
Relocation allowance if you need to move to the Oxfordshire area
