Weev are seeking to appoint a Technical Sales Executive for a thriving industry, one that continues to grow exponentially as the attractiveness and government legislation around electric vehicles continues to drive demand for more EV charging points the across the country. The Technical Sales Executive will drive sales across Ireland as well as provide cost-effective project estimations to ensure profitable project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Scope, identify and convert opportunities for Electric Vehicle charging solutions across Ireland.
- Conduct site surveys, when required, to assess the feasibility of EV charging installations, identify potential challenges and recommend solutions to ensure a successful project.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to develop accurate cost estimates for EV projects.
- Promoting our products and services to prospective clients through prospecting, face-to-face consultations, owning customer contact from lead to successful agreement of signed contract.
- Meet and exceed targets and deliver sales through high levels of self-driven activity.
- Be an ambassador for the company.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including operations.
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of our EV charging solutions and associated technologies such as distribution systems, cabling, routing, protective devices, and installation methods.
- Understand the market dynamics in detail i.e. key customers, material costs, labour rates, industry challenges, emerging technologies, and market trends etc.
- Ensure all communications are thoroughly and efficiently recorded on our internal CRM system.
- Any other duties pertinent to the role as required.
Essential Qualifications / Experience
- Time served electrician (18th edition).
- Proven experience in a technical sales or estimator role.
- Technical knowledge of EV charging infrastructure and associated technologies.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate cost estimation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Be a self-starter, able to work autonomously and be driven by the need to exceed target.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of application.
- Experience of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or equivalent system.
- Full clean UK/ROI driving licence.
Desirable Criteria
- Proven success in B2B sales or similar in technology, construction, electrical, renewables or EV Charging industries is desirable.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering practices and methods.
- Previous experience in conducting site assessment.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for cost estimation and project management.
