Role Definition:
- To prepare all the technical documentation related to the subsea structure and tie-in systems during the different phases of the Project, such as Conceptual Study, FEED, Tender and Contract package preparation.
- To follow-up large EPCI contracts for Offshore Projects for subsea structure and tie-in systems during tender and execution.
- To ensure that the design of subsea structure and tie-in systems meets Project requirements, applicable codes and standards, and engineering best practices whilst reducing project costs and risks.
- To follow up supplier call for tender & selection (qualifications, clarifications, recommendations, etc.)
- To review and approve FEED, Tender and Detailed Engineering performed by Contractors.
- To act as a Company Representative for all the activities related to subsea structure and tie-in systems during fabrication, testing, interfacing with other systems, packing and load-out activities.
- To act as a Company Representative for all the activities related subsea structures and tie-in systems during Offshore operations (support to Installation, Commissioning, and start-up activities).
- To develop the Company's know-how for subsea structure and tie-in systems.
- To be responsible for the subsea structure and tie-in systems activities within the Subsea Systems department.
- Teamwork and collaboration with other colleagues in the Subsea Systems department, as well as with other disciplines.
- To liaise with other disciplines during Project execution phase.
- Awareness of design standards requirements for subsea structure and tie-in systems.
- Correct application of Company internal standards and HSEQ policies.
Qualification:
- Extensive experience as a Subsea Structure and tie-in Engineer throughout the various phases of project development (from concept development to execution) and handover to operations.
- Experience in the technical design of the subsea structures such as Manifolds/PLEMs, PLETs/ILTs, PLRs etc. and tie-in systems from preliminary engineering through detailed design, with knowledge of the main subsea and installation interfaces.
- Experience with Design and Safety Reviews, HAZOP, HAZID’s, Risk Assessment.
- Experience in supervising Contractors and Vendors equipment and deliverables.
- Experience in being able to support Projects onshore and offshore testing – FAT, SIT and pre-commissioning/ installation/ commissioning activities.
- Full Knowledge of all applicable codes, international standards and engineering best practices for subsea structures and tie-in systems.
- Knowledge and experience with Finite Element Analysis software like Ansys, Abaqus and COSMOSWorks.
- Knowledge and experience with subsea structural analysis software like SACS and SESAM.
- Proficient usage of the Office Software (MS Office).
- Minimum BS Degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering, or other related engineering discipline.
- Demonstrable experience in the Oil and Gas Industry with respect to subsea structures and tie-in systems from preliminary engineering through detailed design.
Conditions:
- We operate a SmartWorking policy allowing personnel to work for up to 12 working days/month from home or a similar secure location and these 12 days can be available even where personnel are on leave for a portion of the month. As such, typically around 60% of time working remotely is available for individuals who wish to take advantage of this.
