We are seeking mid-level Consumer Credit Lawyers who are available for a 9-12 month assignment with a Financial Services business, via a market leading ALSP. The role is to start in September and could be for 4 or 5 days a week, with 3 days per week required to be in the London office.

The successful consumer credit lawyer can expect to be involved in:

  • Taking ownership to help develop innovative and compelling personal finance tools for consumers.
  • Assisting business development and partnerships teams with onboarding and handling business partners, their product offerings and integration or implementation needs.
  • Assisting creative, brand and revenue marketing teams develop marketing materials including reviewing any marketing, advertising, financial promotions and communication materials for legal and regulatory issues.
  • Managing existing risks or proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Assessing the business impact of new and evolving legal and regulatory requirements in the consumer financial products space.
  • Educating internal teams on regulatory issues that relate and impact a range of products and features.

Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales (or another commonwealth jurisdiction, such as Australia or New Zealand).
  • Possess upwards of 4 years’ PQE in handling a full range of consumer credit matters.
  • Expertise in the field of consumer credit.
  • Experience gained from notable law firms and/or in house legal teams within the financial services sector.
  • Experience working within a regulated environment is highly desirable.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • A genuine interest in working on a 9-12 month assignment.
  • The ability to spend 3 days per week in a London office.
