My client, who is a group of Security companies, is now seeking to recruit an excellent Temps Controller to join their expanding team. They are seeking someone who is hungry to take over a hot desk with the intention of growing that desk to become a team of personnel in the future.
They are seeking a driven and organised Temps Controller/Recruiter to join their expanding team within the Private Security Sector, responding to client requirements, recruiting Security Operatives, and maintaining excellent service levels, while ensuring compliance.
You will be involved in all aspects of the 360° recruitment cycle, from sourcing and onboarding to client relationships and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to client requests for security Operatives in a timely and professional manner
- Recruit suitable candidates advertising, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
- Conduct Right to Work checks, DBS/disclosure processing, reference checks, and ensure compliance
- Match the right candidates to the right roles, Static Security, Residential Security, Door Supervision, Corporate Security and Close Protection roles.
- Maintain and update rosters and standby lists
- Ensure accurate submission of timesheets and payroll data
- Draft and manage contracts for both clients and workers, ensuring documentation is up-to-date and legally compliant
- Build strong relationships with current clients and upsell services where appropriate
- Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities across the UK security sector
The Person:
- Proven experience in temporary recruitment, ideally within Security, Industrial or Engineering sectors
- Full understanding of the 360° recruitment
- Minimum 18 months’ recruitment experience preferred
- Based in Scotland – in Aberdeen or Glasgow
- Strong interpersonal/communication skills
- Excellent English (spoken and written)
- Strong IT skills – confident using Word, Excel, CRM systems, and other IT packages
- Must have Right to Work in the UK
Desired (not essential):
- Knowledge of the UK private security industry
- Understanding of SIA roles and licensing standards
- Experience working with vetting processes
