About the role
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP)’s Advocacy and Campaigns Team leads our efforts to challenge the political barriers to Palestinians’ rights to health and dignity. Through strategic advocacy, media engagement, public campaigning, and digital mobilisation, we work to drive change and hold duty bearers to account. Our team operates across the UK, the West Bank, and Gaza, bringing deep regional insight and global reach to our mission.
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Team Assistant to support MAP’s fast-paced and growing Advocacy and Campaign Team as it responds to one of the most urgent humanitarian crises today. This role will keep the team running smoothly – managing schedules, minuting meetings, processing finance requests, coordinating travel, and maintaining team systems. You’ll also support the delivery of presentations and events, contribute to internal planning, and help drive cross-cutting projects forward. The role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, systems-driven and eager to support a mission-driven team doing vital work upholding the rights to health and dignity of Palestinians.
About you
The ideal candidate will be deeply committed to the value of strong administration and the crucial role it plays in enabling impactful advocacy, campaigning, and communications. You’ll be highly organised, reliable, and detail-oriented, with a talent for managing competing priorities in a fast-paced team environment. You’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative, diverse team. You’ll have sound judgement, with the discretion and strong people skills needed to support colleagues across roles and regions. Previous experience in administrative, project support, or coordination roles is desirable. An interest in humanitarian, human rights and social justice issues is essential.
