A market-leading financial client based in Bromley/London seeks an experienced Infrastructure Engineer for a 12-month fixed-term engagement. This role involves working on-site in Bromley/London, three days a week, with an immediate start. The position offers a competitive salary, holidays, pension, certification opportunities, and more.
Experience and Skills required:
- Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux
- Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Databases
- DevOps experience including automation, capacity, and performance monitoring (Grafana/Kibana/Elastic)
- Experience with Grid migration projects, on-premises and cloud (Azure)
- Experience with messaging layers such as AMPS
- Knowledge of SQL databases, grid compute, cloud, JIRA, and ITSM
- Project management or technical delivery experience preferred
- Financial services experience is advantageous but not essential
- Background in DevOps, L3 application support, or infrastructure support is essential
- Experience with Quartz is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and review capacity for infrastructure provisioning and grid migration projects
- Manage projects across multiple service divisions
- Manage client and infrastructure management expectations
- Handle routine client requests and troubleshoot issues
- Ensure timely delivery of infrastructure components as per specifications
- Represent BCP and ARC requirements, aligning with bank and business roadmaps
- Collaborate with various managers to articulate infrastructure vision and drive change
- Support continuous infrastructure improvements and communicate with clients regarding costs, delivery, and external consulting
- Translate infrastructure and business priorities effectively
- Facilitate billing, reporting, and cost control
- Own and track infrastructure implementation tasks for business projects
You will be employed by Ajilon (a part of Adecco), working onsite with our client, receiving a salary, bonus, pension, holiday and sick pay, plus additional benefits like medical insurance, income protection, critical illness cover, and access to training and certification opportunities.
