This team is structured into tribes made up of a mix of developers and testers, and due to ongoing growth they're looking to bring in an additional QA resource.

You’ll work as a QA Engineer, building automated frameworks to test products in their portfolio. You’ll need to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the testing process and specifically API testing with an ability to build frameworks and write scripts (in Typescript) from scratch.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a QA engineering role, working on web or packaged software products.
  • API Testing - Practical experience testing RESTful or GraphQL APIs, including working with JSON, HTTP requests/responses, status codes, headers, and API design principles.
  • Automated Testing - Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., TypeScript, Ruby, Python) to contribute to and maintain automated test suites.
  • Agile Methodologies - Hands-on experience with Scrum or Kanban frameworks, delivering iterative value in a fast-paced development cycle.
  • Clear Communication - Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with developers and stakeholders.
  • CI/CD Integration - Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment practices, including tools like GitHub Actions and test automation strategies.
  • Cloud Knowledge - Understanding of AWS core services or equivalent cloud platforms.
  • Database Familiarity - Experience with SQL, NoSQL databases, or search technologies like Elasticsearch.
  • Frontend Awareness - Exposure to frontend technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frameworks.

You will need to be able to get into the office, Middlesbrough, once a month. The role comes with a good benefits package and salary of up to £55,000. Sponsorship is not available and candidates will need ILR or a British passport to be considered.
