Senior Lawyer & Lawyer (Highways and Planning)

The Practice Legal Services Lincolnshire (LSL) is a shared legal service hosted by the county council, offering legal advice to the county council, to six of the county's district and borough councils as well as other public sector clients. We are looking for two enthusiastic individuals for our highways and planning team who have a passion for local authority work. You will find the team experienced and supportive and we guarantee you will find the roles both professionally rewarding and fulfilling.

The roles and area of law

As a planning senior lawyer, you will be providing complex planning advice and drafting on planning agreements, providing training to members and officers. Attendance and advice at planning committees will be essential and assistance when required with officer reports. Governance advice relating to planning matters will be required. As a highways and planning lawyer, you will be providing planning advice and drafting on planning agreements and providing advice on a variety of highways matters and agreements. Attendance and advice at planning committees will be required. You will be joining a small team of lawyers and legal officers who are responsible for providing timely legal advice to clients and officers.

About you

For both positions, you will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive. Experience in this field of law is essential to undertake the Senior Lawyer role. We need someone who can jump right in and start making an impact. For the Lawyer, applications may be considered if you do not have legal experience of working and advising in this area of the law but you are able to demonstrate transferable legal skills with experience in working in a legal environment/office. If you have the right skills, attitude and a passion for the role we will help you develop the rest.
