As a Supply Chain Finance Product Specialist, you will be part of the Supply Chain Finance product team for Santander Corporate and Investment Banking (SCIB) in Europe. The Supply Chain Finance (SCF) Product Specialist will lead the origination, structuring, and execution of SCF solutions for the bank's corporate and institutional clients across Europe. The specialist will focus on delivering scalable, compliant, and commercially viable SCF programs such as payables finance, receivables finance, dynamic discounting, and ESG-linked working capital solutions.

We are looking for a passionate individual that can help us grow and develop the Supply Chain Finance business and its functionalities to deliver the best service and products to our One Europe SCIB clients (turnover above EUR 500 million per annum in Spain, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Poland). Please note this is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

Key activities

  • Managing the implementation of Supply Chain platform across the European geographies ensuring a perfect execution and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the achievement of the budgeted income in the product under management as well as the capital optimization used by the business.
  • Responsible for processes/channels standardization across geographies and product development, analysing market trends (evolution of volumes, transactions and solutions offered by national and international competitors and technological providers).
  • Interaction with all the stakeholders involved (Legal, Compliance, Risk, Financial Control, Middle Office, Back Office) to enhance the value chain.
  • Support/Training for European Sales GTB Teams in terms of new product functionalities (Digitization, ESG).
  • Monitor the evolution of current MIS tools to provide enhanced business scorecards to GTB Europe Senior Management and better product management.
  • Responsible for improving and simplifying our processes to provide the best products and services to our clients.
  • Provide Technical assistance to our Sales team across the European geographies to identify opportunities and to optimize the utilization of the existing programs.
  • Monitor the performance of the business and share market intelligence and best business practices across the different geographies.

What we're looking for

  • Relevant Front Office experience in Supply Chain Finance solutions.
  • Experience in Trade and Working Capital products or other structured/transaction finance solutions is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge in matters such as syndication, distribution, digitalization, green financing highly valued.
  • Fluent in English and additional European languages (e.g., German, French, Spanish) highly advantageous.
  • Technical knowledge in Supplier payment/ Trade payables solutions and banking concepts.
  • Analytical skills with knowledge of computer tools.
  • Expertise in SAP, SQL/Big Data/AI/Python/Qlik will be valued.
  • Effective communication skills to engage and influence internal stakeholders, suppliers, and clients, during technical sales, formalization and execution of the relevant product.
  • Exceptional organization, time management skills and multitasking.
  • Flexibility to travel within Europe and to be based in either London or Madrid.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Law desirable.

This role is based in our Triton Square office in London, conveniently located within walking distance from Euston Station and Warren Street Station.
