This position will be based in London and require you to be in the office 3 days a week. Due to the successful implementation of a global travel management system and internal expansion, Informa is looking to recruit a Senior Travel Program Executive based in London to join our friendly and busy team. This exciting new role is ideal for a Senior Travel Program Executive professional within the business travel industry, with excellent travel knowledge, strong negotiating, contracting and administrative skills as well as a key eye for detail.
The role of the Senior Travel Program Executive encompasses a wide range of tasks in which no two days will be the same. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Investigate and respond to travel related queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain shared email box to ensure efficient and quick responses to customer inquiries.
- Negotiate Air & Hotel Contracts for distribution and promotion on the corporate travel platform.
- Provide high levels of customer service and provide advice with complaint handling.
- Maintain the Online Booking Tool for colleagues.
- Build exceptional rapport with key stakeholders in the region and cultivate stakeholder engagement.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with regional travel suppliers and partners.
- Assist with onboarding of new colleagues onto the travel system in the region.
- Manage pre and post travel queries.
- Assist with the maintenance of the Global Internal Intranet site.
- Analyse and compile monthly reporting.
The ideal Senior Travel Program Executive will have a passion for travel and a working understanding of the often-complex nature of business travel. You will be able to set and work to deadlines, with the ability to multi-task and attention to detail. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, able to deal with a wide variety of clients with an impeccable manner. First-rate written and verbal communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have an experienced understanding of what the business traveller wants to experience with a commitment to good ethics and responsible travel.
This role would suit an experienced business travel executive looking for a fantastic role to further their career in the travel industry. 3-5 years of experience in the travel industry. Strong negotiation skills in relation to Air and Hotel deals along with commission and rebates. Strong administrative experience within a business travel organisation. Great communicator (verbal, face-to-face, email) together with excellent customer service skills. Strong ability to build relationships and maintain them. A passion for all things travel. Excellent organisation and numerical skills. Able to juggle conflicting priorities. Self-motivated and customer centric. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills. Experience of using MS Office packages.
