The Kelly Group is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our team in St Helens. In this role, you will support our field-based Install (CAD and CED) engineers by resolving technical issues promptly to prevent delays in critical work.

Role

  • Providing real-time technical support via phone or video calls to assist field engineers in resolving issues that may delay installation work.
  • Analyzing and validating network issues using specialized network mapping software to find effective solutions.
  • Troubleshooting technical faults and offering immediate support to minimize work disruptions.
  • Facilitating clear and effective communication between office-based and field engineers.

What We’re Looking For

  • Extensive knowledge of telecom networks, including Overhead (OH) and Underground (UG) networks, preferably fibre optic.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical issues clearly to field engineers.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with network mapping software and troubleshooting tools.
  • A problem-solving mindset, able to think quickly and find solutions under pressure.
