Working within our Sustainability and ESG Services team that sits within our Risk and Governance solution, we are looking for a Manager who will play a key role in delivering Sustainability and ESG assurance engagements and supporting the increasing rollout of CSRD assurance. In addition, the candidate will bring the business and finance skills required for these projects to be successful. The opportunity to contribute both to winning work and service development also provided by the role as is the opportunity to work on consulting engagement.

As such the role would suit an experienced assurance professional who is specialised in ESG and Sustainability that wants to work in a team of both assurance and consulting specialisms. We will also consider candidates with a strong audit background and a passion to work with Sustainability and ESG.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Supporting ESG partners and directors to build the ESG Consulting and Assurance service line
  • Working with partners and directors to help win ESG limited assurance projects
  • Leading client engagements to opine on limited assurance over client ESG metrics
  • Ensuring engagement profitability
  • Supporting the building of and performance managing and supporting to train a team of ESG assurance professionals
  • Building excellent relationships with colleagues from across the firm to raise awareness of ESG services and encourage client referrals

We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree, minimum 2:2. A recognised accounting qualification or finance-related degree OR significant professional experience of working with finance and business management
  • Experience of team leadership of ESG & Sustainability limited assurance engagements.
  • Significant experience of a combination of the following: ESG/Sustainability risk and control ISAE3000 & 3410 engagements including risk assessment and data/evidence selection
  • Team leadership (in-charge) on limited assurance/audit engagements
  • Developing measurement and reporting frameworks and key performance indicators to demonstrate ESG impacts
  • Statutory audit experience
  • High level of personal impact and credibility, including evidence of client engagement
