Exciting opportunity for an NVQ 3 / BTEC 3 Electrical Maintenance Industrial Engineer in Hartlepool. A chance to work only half of the year. Working 4 on 4 off (two days and two nights).

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Plant Maintenance Engineer to join our client's dynamic Engineering Team in Hartlepool. This permanent role offers a competitive salary and the chance to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment that values your expertise.
Permanent Role with four days on, four days off (two nights and two days then four days off)
Salary: £42,500 initially increasing to £46,400 plus quarterly bonus and annual bonus, which also includes any overtime worked
Working Hours: 4 on 4 off
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, program, and troubleshoot electrical drive systems, particularly Siemens and Allen Bradley
- Modify PLC electrical programs and resolve faults effectively
- Work on AC/DC motor/gearbox drive systems, variable speed motor control with inverters and converters, and speed feedback devices
- Read schematic drawings
- Work with PLCs such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Mitsubishi
- Ensure plant operations meet quality and customer service targets
- Maintain high compliance with health and safety regulations
- Provide fast and efficient engineering services, addressing quality and safety issues immediately
- Record and report maintenance activities using management systems
What We're Looking For:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant electrical trade, or completion of a recognised apprenticeship
- Strong industrial background, qualified to 18th Edition IEE standards with BTEC ONC / HNC level or equivalent
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance, especially in commercial or heavy engineering environments
- Solid knowledge of health and safety regulations and safety circuits
- Flexibility, eagerness to learn, and a commitment to continuous development
