IO Interactive is currently looking for a Environment Artist (contract) to join Project 007, a new James Bond video game developed and published by IOI. Featuring an original Bond story, players will step into the shoes of the world's favourite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status in the first James Bond origin story. This is a contract position based in one of our studios, with the option to work from home one day per week.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with the Art Director, Concept Artists, and Environment Art team in creating in-game environments.
  • Block out levels with level design, respecting metrics and cinematic requirements, while creating interesting spaces.
  • Translate concepts into game assets by creating modular and reusable assets.
  • Be responsible for final art asset production for specific parts of the game.
  • Assist lighting and tech artists in their work for game environments when required.
  • Work with technical artists using various tools to set up art for optimal engine performance.
  • Add final polish to existing graphics.
  • Fix bugs and optimize assets for performance and platform specifications.

Who You Are

  • You are an experienced game artist who has worked on at least one AAA title.
  • You have a passion for environmental storytelling.
  • You understand technical limitations and requirements for in-game art creation.
  • You can optimize environments and assets for in-engine placement, working with proprietary engine Glacier.
  • You have experience working cross-disciplinarily with various teams.
  • You are proficient in one or more 3D applications (e.g., 3ds Max, Maya, Blender).
