Lycon is looking for Airside Drivers to work full-time at the Cargo Freight area in Heathrow Terminal 4 (TW6) and start ASAP. You will be transferring cargo from the warehouse to other areas around the airport perimeter.
Line of Business: Aviation/HGV/PCV
Type: Temp to perm
Postcode: LHR
Overtime and Bank Holiday pay are also available.
Shifts/Hours: Mixture of earlies and lates with the following range of start times:
- AM: 05:00am - 06:00am
- PM: 13:00pm - 16:00pm
All shifts will be 8.5 hours per day and have a 4 on - 2 off shift pattern.
All drivers must have:
- A valid driver's license
- No more than 6 points on their driver's license
- No criminal convictions
Required skills - Must have either:
- Airside/HGV driving qualification with at least 6 months driving experience
- Be a PCV driver (Buses or Minibuses)
- Be a Crane/Straddle Carrier Operator with at least 2 years experience.
Other required skills:
- Previous experience of airfreight work - desired but not essential
- A good level of fitness - essential
- Able to understand and follow instructions
- Good communication both written and verbal
- Have a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
- Ability to work under pressure.
Extra Job Information:
- Free HGV 2 training
- Full Cargo Operative training will be provided.
- Criminal record and five-year employment history checks will be made before you are able to start work at the airport.
