EF Brighton International Language Campus is looking for responsible and culturally intelligent Residence Advisors to join our team for summer 2025. In this role, you'll create a welcoming and secure environment where international students feel at home, supported, and part of a vibrant community. Zero hours contract (around 10 - 25 hours p/w). Due to the nature of the role, the position entails evening and/or weekend shifts July β August 2025. Potential for full-time employment post summer. Responsibilities
- Meet & greet new students on arrival
- Coordinate student arrivals and departures
- Inform arriving students about the student code of conduct
- Assist with checking in & taking students to rooms
- Regularly check rooms to ensure facilities are in good condition & being well maintained & cleaned
- Ensure that reported maintenance issues are dealt with efficiently by residence staff
- Undertake residence walk throughs
- Assist students with problems and liaise with staff responsible about any issues
- Ensure that residence rules are being adhered to and reporting all issues to Manager
- Organise and partake in residence student activities
- Escort students to welcome orientation each Monday morning
- Accompany under 18 students to medical appointments
Requirements
- Given the on call nature of the position, a flexible, hands-on approach to nature & hours of work undertaken is essential
- Highly motivated, energetic, positive
- Customer service orientated, friendly & approachable manner
- Able to remain calm under pressure & to diffuse potentially difficult situations
- Sensitive to needs of international students living away from home
- Excellent communicator with students, colleagues, and external clients
- Attention to detail, organised & thorough
- All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references
- Legally able to work in the UK at commencement of employment
